Anna de Codorníu is, as the name suggests, a lively and feminine Cava.
The primary grape is Chardonnay (70%), which is blended with the classic Cava grapes, Macabeo (10%), Parellada (15%), and (5%) Macabeo grapes. The Chardonnay grapes come from Codorníu’s own vineyards in Lleida, and the other grapes are purchased from selected producers in the Penedès region. As prescribed by the "Méthode Traditionelle," the wine has undergone the 2nd fermentation in the bottle, well-known from Champagne, for a minimum of 15 months, and is therefore classified as a Reserve. Straw-yellow color with lovely bubbles. A distinct bouquet of the Chardonnay grape gives the wine a completely unique character. The balance between acidity and residual sugar makes it beloved by "Brut" fans.
